Common Questions
Volunteering should fit around your life
Every volunteer brings different skills, experience and availability. Whether you’re helping occasionally or taking on a larger role, we’ll work with you to find something that fits.
Absolutely. Most of our Scout Leaders have full-time jobs. That’s why having a team of volunteers is so important—we share the responsibility and support one another.
Yes. We understand that work, family and other commitments sometimes come first. You don’t need to be available every week to make a valuable contribution.
Not at all. We’ll provide the training, mentoring and support you need to feel confident in your role.
Scout Leaders run activities in German, but many volunteer roles can be done in either English or German.
Start with a conversation. We’ll help you find a role that matches your interests, availability and confidence.

Volunteer Stories
More than volunteering
One of our Scout Leaders shared this story after encouraging a parent to become involved:
“A mother approached me once after a Scout session and said, ‘Thanks for talking my husband into becoming a Leader. It has really brought the family closer together. I’m so proud of him, he’s having the time of his life, and our kids love that he’s one of the Leaders.“
Sometimes volunteering becomes much more than simply helping out. It creates friendships, shared adventures and memories that families carry with them for years.
